Volunteer and Internships

The Learning Pavilion has many volunteer opportunities for individuals interested in working with young children and their teachers. Your time is a valuable resource and The Learning Pavilion welcomes the opportunity to share your talents with our children and families.

Ways to volunteer

  • Work directly with children – help with messy play activities, story time, pat backs at naptime, play games on the playground.
  • Guest presenter/speaker – Share your interests, hobbies or career story with children as well as with staff in a training or with parents.
  • Facilities and grounds work – Help maintain TLP’s building and facilities by doing yard work, gardening and minor repairs.

Level II Background screening will be completed for Volunteers giving over 25 hours of time per week. If interested in an internship or placement e-mail Senior Director Kim Sineath, ksineath@thelearningpavilion.org  or call TLP at 850-921-KIDS(5437).

We’ve partnered with the following universities for internships in Social Work and Early Childhood Education:

  • Florida State University
  • Florida A & M University
  • Tallahassee Community College
  • Keiser College
